CHURCH IN CAPTIVITY

A little side note: in the midst of all the captivity, Daniel and three other young Hebrew men were placed on "staff" in the king Nebuchadnezzer's court because of their extraordinary giftings and wisdom by God. They were still a part of Israel... And still captive to a Babylonian system - the church within a system of another king.
The church is NOT the problem. She is captive within a system that does not allow her to function as the Bride of her true King... And truly has no clue. She was born and raised in it... And knows no difference. She just figures that is the way it is supposed to be.

PLANTING A SEED

“A little girl and her mother were sitting in a church gathering, when the pastor began to pray, “… Oh, Lord, thou knowest we are but dust.”
Puzzled at what she had just heard, the little girl loudly inquired, “Mommy, what is ‘BUTT DUST’?”

Although I do not know the answer to this perplexing question, it does bring up an interesting reminder of the very genesis of our existence:
Gen 2:7            And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
WE ARE DUST… SOIL… DIRT – and we retain about 55-78 percent water (some of us more than we would like)

Now… what happens when you plant a seed in warm, moist soil?  It grows, right?  It is a law of God, put into motion at the very conceptualization of the universe that if you place a seed in soil it WILL grow and produce a plant, the very likeness from which the seed originally came.

Gen 8:22  While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

Gal 6:7-9          Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

In Mark 4 there is a parable about the sower and the seed, a story which we may have heard… oh… hundreds of times.  After the section that is usually read about all of the different types of soil and how each responds to the seed – or how the seed thrives in that particular type of soil – there is a small passage of about 4 verses that shows the very heart of the parable.

Mark 4:26-29  And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;     And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring andgrow uphe knoweth not how. For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.

Mark 4:13-14  And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?        The sower soweth the word.

We ARE the soil… the earth.  The Word is the seed.  If we put in in the warm, moist soil it will produce after it’s own kind -  who HE is in us and us in HIM.  We don’t know how it comes up, or how it grows, BUT… IT WILL COME UP – first the blade, then the ear, then the full corn in the ear.  We will go to sleep and rise up night and day after night and day, and one day… we will rise up and see the field is ripe unto harvest, and we will thrust in the sickle and reap – a hundred fold return of the promise of THAT SEED.

Jer 1:12            Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.

Ezek 12:25       For I am the LORD: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass; it shall be no more prolonged: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I say the word, and will perform it, saith the Lord GOD.

Isa 55:10          So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Phil 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

2 Cor 9:6         But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

Gal 6:9    And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Son of God ... Son of Man

Just a Thought... did Jesus do things as Son of God or Son of Man while He was here on earth?
Matt 9:6    But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.
He called himself the "son of man" often... maybe so He could also say:
John 14:12      Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
We seem to have difficulty in identifying with Him as a Son of God.  WE are so connected to this world and our earthly heritage that we forget that we are not only "son of Man", but sons of God, as well.
We see Him as high and lifted up, seated upon a throne, far above all power, principality, ruler, might and dominion... holy, righteous... full of glory... full of power... full of love
I Jn 4:17    Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

Matt 28:18-20
18    And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19    Go ye therefore
, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20    Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

reminder:
Rev 2:25 But that which ye HAVE ALREADY hold fast till I come.(KJV)

Are we trying to get a healing, or is it "by His stripes you WERE healed"?

We have a covenant of healing, life, liberty, wholeness, prosperity, etc which was sealed by the blood of Jesus Christ, We have already been
healed... We have already been delivered... We have already been set free from the power of darkness. He already took our sickness and disease upon His own body and nailed it to the cross,,, THAT is what we HAVE!

faith is not trying to get something... it already has it. It is not awaiting a manifestation... faith IS the substance and the evidence,,, the proof - of things NOT SEEN.

We are not awaiting until our body, or a doctor gives voice or evidence to the healing. We listen to the VOICE that shakes both heaven and earth.

We are not wrestling against flesh and blood... even our own, but against powers and principalities that have come -even immediately - to steal the Word.

We sometimes are waiting until our own body, a doctor, or any other third party gives proof and evidence before we believe it has truly happened for us.

What is true?

What IS reality?

Is what is happening to our body, and the voices of fear and confusion that come in and resonate in our mind during the battle really real and true?... or... is what Jesus Christ did on the cross and His voice that resonates throughout history saying, "IT IS FINISHED" real and true?

Again... faith is not a decision. it is a place from which decisions are made. It is a place of absolutes... a place of peace and rest... a place where the Word of God as a seed has produced a crop and we are not hoping or wondering anymore as to when or what, but we are seeing that, indeed, this field is ripe unto harvest NOW... and we are thrusting in our sickle to reap (Mk 4)

know you know all this... just a reminder
